Curriculum for Liberal Education

The Curriculum for Liberal Education (CLE) is Virginia Tech's version of general education courses. "The CLE comprises 25-30% of an undergraduate's credits toward graduation, and offers approximately 300 courses in more than 60 departments, across 7 required CLE Areas of Study. Designed to empower students with a broad base of knowledge and transferable skills through exposure to multiple disciplines and ways of knowing, the CLE seeks to create the conditions for growing creative and intellectual engagement; civic, personal, and social responsibility; and lifelong learning." – Office of Generation Education

Gobblerfest

Hokies4Hire

Hokies4Hire is an online career resource for Virginia Tech students and alumni where they can upload their resumes to be viewed by employers; search and apply for internships, co-ops, and jobs; and receive notifications from Career Services about programs related to your major or career interests.

Hokie Camp

"Hokie Camp is a three-day extended orientation experience that takes place at the W.E. Skelton 4-H Educational Conference Center. Hokie Camp welcomes new Hokies to Virginia Tech with the purpose of giving them an opportunity to have fun, make friends, and learn more about life at Virginia Tech. Hokie Hi Welcome

Hokie Passport

New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation is a two-day program designed to help you transition to the Virginia Tech campus. Students stay overnight in an on-campus residence hall, meet with an advisor to register for fall classes, and meet other new Hokies!
