4:00 p.m. Film Screening Movie: Bilal's Stand Film screening and presentation by Sundance Film Festival acknowledged Writer and Director Sultan Sharrief. Bilal's Stand was created by high school and college students in the city of Detroit. It debuted at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival and won the Crystal Heart Award at the Heartland Film Festival.
6:15 p.m. Dinner, Greeting & University Welcome Catered dinner hosted by Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Participants and parents will get to chat with admissions committee members directly in a relaxed setting.
7:15 p.m. Student Panel A group of current Virginia Tech students of diverse backgrounds and academic interests will share their experiences and field questions from the audience.
8:15 p.m. "Walk About America" Presented by Eric M. Latham, Virginia Tech Alumnus In 2004 Eric Latham, Virginia Tech Alumnus, began an incredible journey. Starting in Nags Head, North Carolina and finishing in San Francisco, California, he walked across America to raise money for cancer research. In this session he will share stories of his experience and thoughts.
