FAFSA Frenzy

February 15 is the deadline for Virginia Tech’s General Scholarship Application located at January 15 marks the priority deadline for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Applications received after the January 15 deadline will not be guaranteed consideration for grants. Funds are limited, so please apply on time!

We will review your application for various types of aid including:

  • Scholarships
  • Grants
  • Student Employment
  • Loans

Applicants who file the FAFSA by January 15 (and have their results sent to Virginia Tech: Federal School Code 003754), submit any requested documentation, and are offered admission will be able to view their financial aid results online in April. Applicants who do not complete the FAFSA by January 15 will not be eligible for maximum aid opportunities. 

Please do not wait for an admissions decision to file the FAFSA. Even if you don’t think you will be eligible for financial aid, you should complete both the FAFSA and the General Scholarship Application.
